We are delighted to confirm that the green light has been given for our Birmingham PRS development, which is a former industrial site in Digbeth, with planning achievd in May 2018.
Due to start on site later this year, the scheme will offer 222 units of 1 and 2-bedroom accommodation in the Digbeth area of Birmingham. The project aims to promote the city’s vision for the regeneration of Digbeth, reflecting the historic context of the area whilst promoting hallmarks of Digbeth’s trading past.
The intention is to develop a contemporary design aesthetic, supporting the scale and mass of the proposed development against the neighbouring Grade II Listed Paragon Hotel adjacent.
The loft-living style apartments at Westminster Works will offer modern inner-city living and we are delighted to be taking this scheme forward.
Making reference to the industrial heritage, this development seeks to re-establish the warehouse architecture that is seen in much of Digbeth’s urban grain and land use, using proportions familiar to the area. Providing an architecture for living that is close to expansive transport links and amenities is an attractive proposition.
The development improves the existing site condition, adds further character and interest to the area, and looks to regenerate and draw people into this part of the city.
