A new acquisition in Britain’s second biggest city joins the Digbeth and Holloway Head sites.
On the site of the former Kent Street Baths, plans are being drawn up for the development of two apartment blocks, one which will stand at 19 storeys, and the other 7 storeys.
The 7-storey block will consist of 98 apartments, and the larger block a further 406 for private rent. Planning permission has already been granted for the smaller block, with a revised application due to be lodged with Birmingham City Council by the summer.
All three developments support Birmingham’s regeneration initiative, providing attractive homes for the city’s growing population of young professionals. The city is already the ‘number 1’ spot for those relocating from the capital and has been identified as the city of start-up businesses for five consecutive years.
